Vintage Photo Print of Antique Colorized Slide Union Supply Ship 1863 Civil War

Description

Up for auction is a vintage framed print taken directly from an antique colorized hand tinted glass slide from the Civil War acquired from a Civil War collector in the Philadelphia area.  It is found in good used condition in a vintage 80s 90s style metal frame.  Inscription on bottom reads "Union Supply ship near Covington, KY 1863".  The glass slides were colorized and this print was taken directly from the slide on a color copy machine.  Not a copy from a copy, a copy directly from original slide.  Condition issues include spotting and discoloration on glass from acids from matting.   Some inperfections from original slide.  Acid stains on backing as well dates this to 80s 90s pre acid neutral matting.  Opening on mat 7 5/8 x 5 5/8". Overall size ~11.25 x 14.25 so glass probably 11x14".  Dirty glass.
