    Description

**John L. Burns, twice-signed CDV with W.O. Willard's (Philadelphia) back mark**
The image is crisp and clear, with two bold signatures on each side of the CDV. On the front he signs, "John L. Burns." On verso, "John L. Burns, Gettysburg, Age 72"
This means that the image was signed in 1866, as burns was born in 1793. It has an 1866 revenue stamp, additionally.
You don't see these often, especially double-signed! There is a very subtle horizontal crease. You can perhaps see it across the "72" ink. This in no way affects the images' clarity and almost imperceptible except under certain lighting.
I'm slowly selling pieces from our family's Civil War antiques business and collection.
We always ship in rigid mailers. Insurance is included in the shipping price. Message with any questions and I'll be happy to get back to you.
