    This New York Cavalry set has a signed CDV of George A. Stein & a pair of New York staff buttons are from George A. Stein who served in Company A then on the staff of Colonel Thaddeus Mott in the 14

    New York Cavalry from November 24,1862 to June 1865.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The CDV is 3 ¾” x 2 ½” shows him from shoulders up, 1 1/14”1 3/8” x image of Stein & is signed GEO.A. Stein on the bottom of the card.                                                                                                                                                                                                                      The back is stamped PHOTOGRAPHED BY BURNGTE & WELDON, 110 MARKET STREET, HARRISBURG PA.THIS NEGATIVE WILL BE PRESERRVED ONE YEAR.                                                                                                                                                                                           The pair of New York staff cuff buttons were a gift from Colonel Thaddeus Mott for Stein’s service to him during the Civil War.
