    A CIRCA 1860's 4-IMAGE MAGIC LANTERN PANEL SLIDE OF SCENES OF CADETS IN FIRING CANNON, IN FORMATION, IN REPOSE & AT TENT GUARD AT THE WEST POINT MILITARY ACADEMY DURING THE CIVIL WAR
    This magic lantern slide measures 6" x 1 1/2" in size.
    The slide contains 4 scenes taken at West Point in the 1860s at the time of the Civil War.  The images have scratches and specks of emulsion loss resulting from use consistent with age - but displays and reproduces nicely.
    This slide is not chipped or cracked.  THIS IS AN ORIGINAL VINTAGE GLASS MAGIC SLIDE from 150 years ago.  Slide was issued with no cover glass for the toy magic lanterns of the day.  VERY RARE.
