The image shows a Confederate officer with his collar button down.
This original period photograph is a period copy photograph.  You can see the nails that were used to hold the original image to a surface allowing the photographer to make the period copy image.  This image is a 9th plate size tin type.  It looks like the photographer lightly tinted the uniform coat gray.    I will be shipping in a priority box.
