    Description

Submitted for your consideration is a Civil War era CDV depicting a soldier who has returned home from the war to find a baby in a cradle. Denied his every request for a furlough during the past three years, this hardened veteran didn't need Maury Povich to know that he is "NOT the father".
Soldier is wearing his uniform, with frock coat, holding a musket in one hand, and pointing at the baby in the cradle with the other hand. Caption is, "Who's Been Here Since I'se Been Gone(?)". Gotta admit where it was a mighty good question. The poor schmuck.
    This is
    not
a modern reprint, replica, etc. It is the Real Deal from the 1860s, and an extremely scarce example of Civil War humor in this format
    .
