    Residence Medford MA; 20 years old.
    Enlisted on 4/16/1861 as a Private.
    On 5/1/1861 he mustered into "E" Co. MA 5th Infantry
    He was Mustered Out on 7/31/1861 at Boston, MA
    On 1/4/1862 he mustered into Field & Staff MA 30th Infantry
    He was discharged for disability on 2/12/1865

    * Hospital Steward 1/4/1862 (As of 30th MA Infantry)
    * 2nd Lieut 8/21/1862 (As of Co. E)
    * 1st Lieut 10/22/1863 (1st Lieut & Adjutant)
