Circa 1865 Antique Civil War CDV (carte-de-visite) Photograph.  Depiction of officer GENERAL QUINCY ADAMS GILMORE in uniform with sword and hat.  Published by E. & H. T. Anthony of New York from a Mathew Brady negative in BRADY'S National Portrait Gallery (see backmark).  Period pencil written identification on mount and/or reverse.  Two cent Civil War era duty stamp on the reverse.  Research indicates that General Gilmore was a West Point graduate, and that he participated in several battles during the American Civil War.  Condition: light surface soiling, occasional dings, scuffs, edge wear and foxing spots.  chip mount card loss on bottom edge.  finger bend in upper left corner.  Please see photos for additional condition review.
