    Circa 1865 Antique Civil War CDV (carte-de-visite) Photograph.  Depiction of US NAVY officer Admiral Andrew Hull Foote in uniform with hat and sword.  Published by E. & H. T. Anthony of New York from a Mathew Brady negative in BRADY'S National Portrait Gallery (see backmark).  Period pencil written identification on mount and/or reverse.  Two cent Civil War era duty stamp on the reverse.  Research indicates that Admiral Foote served with the US Navy during the Supression of the Slave Trade, the Second Opium Wars, and the American Civil War.  Condition: light surface soiling, occasional dings, scuffs, edge wear and foxing spots.  two upper clipped mount corners.  Please see photos for additional condition review.
