4-1/2 x 3-1/4 Albumen mounted to a slightly card stock with period printed label glued to lower margin which reads: "Burying Union Prisoners Of War At Camp Sumter / Andersonville Georgia/ Photographed by A.J Riddle, August 17, 1864."  An extremely rare view of a dozen men with shovels laying wrapped bodies into a large trough. Period action views of Andersonville are practically nonexistent and therefore this is an important photographic survivor.
